For your consideration is a spectacular c.1890 Cabinet Card photograph of a Tlingit Shaman performing a ritual ceremony on a Native subject. I have received feedback and the Internet attributes the photograph to Edward DeGroff 1860-1910) of Sitka Alaska. However, the cabinet card was produced by George M. Weister (1862-1922) of Portland Oregon whose name appears on the cabinet mount.

I've been a collector of photographs, important documents and publications related to Native American history for over 35 years. I am not a commercial dealer. My collection mainly covers the period from early 1700's to 1930. The images (all original) are of various sizes and have been safely stored in archival museum boxes in a climate controlled setting. They are in the same condition as when I acquired them....  Please let me know if you are searching for anything in particular and I will be happy to check and place them on eBay if available.
