ENFIELD 1907 bayonet rare Wilkinson manufacture during WWII dated 1945 coded S294
Notes: In WWII, only builder Wilkinson (WSC) re-manufactured, to fulfill a contract for the Royal Navy. These were to be the last P1907 models made in Britain with only 122,307 produced from July 15, 1941 until the end of the war. The first contract of 15. 07.1941 providing for 34,707 bayonets with sandblasted blade. A second contract dated 10/15/1943 provided for 87,600 bayonets with a blackened finish.
