Pink & Multi-Color Hand Woven & Embroidered Chinantec Huipil Oaxaca Mexico Boho.
This is a Very Traditional Huipil from the Chinantec community woven in the area of Tlacoazintepec in northern Oaxaca. This particular Huipil is all Hand Woven and embroidered.
The designs on this dress are very typical of the remote village of Tlacoazintepec. In some Mexican cultures have different symbols of messengers or observers etc. And they bring information to the Spirits. This is a wonderful Huipil from a remote village, you will not be disappointed!!!
This cotton hupil will fit a Medium to Large size woman. The Base fabric is a Pink with the aztec patterns done in multiple colors. The diamond design or symbols in this Aztec style dress extraordinary. The Fabric shows some ware or age ( which might be appealing to some) but is also loosely done at points to allow good ventilation, and in good condition. There is fading overall of the dress and because it is consistent throughout the dress which makes it not noticeable! I have submitted pictures.
This style of Dress is a great example of contemporary Fashion trends like: Frida Kahlo Style - Bohemian, Hippie, boho, Tunic, Peasant, Santa Fe, Cowgirl style.
Purchase a beautiful hand woven Huipil to wear, and support the indigenous weavers of Oaxaca save their cultural heritage and traditions. I would say that this dress is a size medium to large but please pay attention to the measurements because I do not accept returns!
