Wolves of Drina (Vukovi sa Drine) was founded on May 25, 1992. The following year, on May 8, the unit grew into the Podrinje Special Forces Detachment (POSS), as a maneuver battalion of the Drina Corps. The detachment also had an armored company, a mortar battery, and a logistics company.
