Description

Excellent WWI German bayonet by a scarce maker- Schleutermann Remscheid. Bright butcher blade has one dark spot that will clean off, and is marked on the spine with an Imperial crown over "W 17" and a stylized "R". Crossguard is stamped with a "C". Grip panels are excellent with only flaw being a very small chip of wood out of left panel at slot near the "C" on crossguard. Scabbard is without any dents and retains most of it's original blued finish. Frog stud side of scabbard has some fine oxidation at bottom half. An excellent Imperial German bayonet that would be difficult to upgrade. Fresh from a recent estate of a collector that was big on condition and scarcity.
