Description

One of the rarest bayonet in this condition with its scabbard to be found , This came from JERRY Janzen collection, he wrote the book on collecting bayonets, and here is one of his best. The blade has been ketp in grease so in mint condition, the green paint on the scabbard has mostly worn off, an a tiny surface rust from the steel handle can be cleaned off, The barrel ring has been modified (countersunk) the muzzle ring to allow a better fit on the GEW 88 rifle, this was only done to a small number, so much rarer. The release button to lock the bayonet in works perfect. The blade is a little under 12 1/2 inches, over all 18 1/2 inches long. I am not sure the name on the scabbard, but it is the right scabbard, with I believe a rare named scabbard
