    Per the paper instructions all Firebird lighters are set at full blast from the factory.  After filling you must turn the flame height all the way down and then turn it up 1/16 of turn, testing it after each 1/16 turn until it lights. Then make any final flame height adjustment from there.
    95% of lighters returned to us as defective work perfectly when adjusted this way.
