When you think of Pirates of the Caribbean??
Bluefield's is a town and municipality located on the Caribbean Sea side of Nicaragua. It is located in what was the former British protectorate of the Mosquito Coast. It was named after a Dutch-Jewish pirate by the name of Abraham Blauvelt. It was the rendezvous and headquarters for English and Dutch pirates of the Caribbean in the 16th and 17th century. It?s inhabitants include Creoles descended from African slaves, Miskitu Indians, and Chinese among a mix of other cultures. US Marines were stationed there in 1912-1915 and 1926-1933. Today it is an off the beaten track resort and is famous for it?s shrimp and lobster exports.
