Old Guatemalan Huipil Hand Loomed and Embroidered

This old Huipil is from Guatemala
when it is folded in half on the neck as it is meant to be worn
It measures 34 inches in length  (some losses to the bottom edges of the huipil)
and 29 inches wide
There is wear to the fabric and some fading
Some soiling
It is old - it was old when I bought it.
I bought this in 1974 in Guatemala
when a  friend and I were backpacking through Guatemala
We went to a large Indian market and there was a man there selling
used old Huipils..all so beautiful!
they were very cheap because they were worn and old
