    Description

    For auction is a Syracuse China plate commemorating the USS Buffalo SSN-715, a Navy submarine that launched on May 8, 1982 and was decommissioned after 35 years of service on January 30, 2019. This plate was likely given out as a partying gift to guests of a Navy Ball.
    CONDITION:
    The plate is in mint condition with absolutely no chips, cracks, flea bites, wear, or repairs. The paint and glaze and are vivid, crisp and 100% also.
    MEASUREMENTS / WEIGHT:
    The plate is 9 3/4" in diameter. The plate is fairly heavy, weighing 1 lb. 9 oz.
    MARKINGS:
    The base is marked with the Syracuse China backstamp, including 27-B-6, which indicates this plate was manufactured in the 2nd quarter of 1998.
