    The 6X5 bayonet was adopted in 1989, and mass production of such weapons began at the same time.It was produced at the Izhevsk plant in two versions of the exterior design: black and plum.

    The 6X5 bayonet knife was adopted and put into production in the late eighties. Such additional weapons were equipped with AK-74 submachine guns of the later series, AK-74M and "hundredth series". In addition, it was envisaged to use such bayonets with the AN-94, but in terms of their number, such weapons were significantly inferior to other models. Thus, most of the bayonets of the new model were supplied with AK-74M submachine guns.
    At the moment, the 6X5 bayonet is the last weapon of its class, created and adopted in our country. Since the late eighties, several attempts have been made to develop new combat blades, but the army has not yet received a single new bayonet.
