Description
An odd vintage catlinite object. Its a rectangle, 3 11/16" by 3" by 5/8", with very neatly executed scratch carving on both faces and all four edges. The darker side, with a pin-wheel carving, also has all four corners neatly beveled. Obviously not a ritual or utilitarian object, I was told by a long-time catlinite collector that he had encountered similar objects before. He suggested that it might have been created for the tourist market, possibly as a paper-weight, probably from the first half of the 20th century. There are some tool marks left, slightly visible, and a few minor scratches.

Shipping
Shipping charges are for shipping only.  There is no handling fee. In most cases USPS will be chosen. All fragile items will be double boxed, which, in the case of larger items, might result in the shipper charging a fee for an oversized package.  Books will be mailed Media rate in the US, unless otherwise requested.
Terms of Sale
Items can be returned within 30 days of sale, postage free for domestic sales, customer-paid shipping for international sales unless the item is shown to be not as described.
