WWII 2nd Pattrn British Fairbairn Sykes Fighting Knife Commando Dagger Wilkinson

Very nice, original WWII British F-S type fighting knife. Made by Wilkinson sword and correctly marked on the ricassos. Knife is just over 11 5/8" w/the blade just over 6 5/8". It's been sharpened and shows wear. The edges are good and there's no rust or pitting. The markings are "THE F-S FIGHTING KNIFE" and "WILKINSON SWORD CO. LONDON" w/crossed swords of course. There's also faint scroll marks on one side of the blade. The sharpening was done by hand. The guard is tight and unmarked w/good finish. The knurled brass grip is excellent. Traces of black finish remain and it's tight. The nut has vise marks and looks as it should. Comes in original (?) or at least period, brown leather scabbard. Faint name and unit (?) marking on the back, top of hanger. Tabs were cut and the elastic broken long ago, otherwise the scabbard is in very good shape and the set presents very nicely.
